Watercolour Jewels, So, what is the traditional 75th anniversary jewel?
From ‘reference.com’, “A 75th anniversary is called the diamond anniversary. It is sometimes referred to as the diamond jubilee and is considered the pinnacle of anniversary celebrations. Diamonds are the strongest substances on Earth, as well as one of the most desired, and therefore represent such an esteemed celebration.” That’s right, 75 juried exhibitions is just simply remarkable … so let’s celebrate by painting up a storm! With this in mind, the Exhibition team has selected a fantastic venue that we know you will love! Contract signatures are still pending but we expect to have a final confirmation by the end of this week. So stay tuned for the details about location … we will let you know as soon as we know. The jurying for this show is scheduled for March 25 at the United Church Bells Corners and the exhibition start date is planned for May 1. And with this show, we will of course continue to have awards (with some cash prizes) for paintings in the following categories:
We look forward to sending you the final details along with a registration form for Watercolour Jewels - OWS Juried Show Spring 2017! "I am seeking. I am striving. I am in it with All my heart." Vincent van Gogh Stay tuned and happy painting, Pauline President, FOWS
